Trackcor’s standing
Incoming exclusive distributor and service centre for Zambia and the DRC
Lifting equipment is the category where an untested assumption is most likely to injure somebody. A jack that lifted its rated load last year is not evidence that it will do so today, and a seal that is weeping under no load behaves differently under forty tonnes.
Exclusive distribution across two countries
Trackcor has been appointed incoming exclusive distributor and service centre for Edmo across Zambia and the DRC. In practice that puts supply and support for the same equipment in the same place for both the Zambian and Congolese copperbelts, which is unusual and useful for operations working either side of the border.
Load testing is the whole point
- Jacks tested to rated capacity, not merely inspected
- Reseal and overhaul with the test repeated afterwards
- Certificates recorded against the asset so the history follows the equipment
- Test intervals set against use and environment
Edmo lines we handle
- Hydraulic jacks for mining and heavy vehicle applications
- High-capacity lifting equipment
- Jack servicing, reseal and overhaul
- Load testing to rated capacity
Common questions
Is Trackcor the Edmo distributor for Zambia?
Trackcor has been appointed incoming exclusive distributor and service centre for Edmo jacks across both Zambia and the DRC.
How often should a jack be load tested?
It depends on use, environment and what it lifts, but a jack in regular mine service needs a documented test on a defined interval. An inspection that never applies load is not a test.
