Tooling service and calibration for Lubumbashi

Calibration, repair and supply for the Haut-Katanga copper and cobalt belt, served across the border from Zambia.

Lubumbashi, Haut-Katanga, DRC

Lubumbashi is the commercial and industrial centre of the Congolese copperbelt and the base for a great deal of mining, processing and contracting activity across Haut-Katanga. It sits a short distance from the Zambian border at Kasumbalesa, which makes it closer to a Copperbelt workshop than to most alternatives.

Served across the Kasumbalesa border from the Zambian Copperbelt.

Closer than the alternative

For an operation in Haut-Katanga, the nearest serious torque calibration and hydraulic tool repair capability has generally been a very long way south. The Zambian Copperbelt is a great deal closer, and the Kasumbalesa crossing is a routine commercial corridor rather than an exotic route.

Trackcor is also the incoming exclusive distributor and service centre for Edmo jacks across Zambia and the DRC, so lifting equipment supply and its support sit in the same place.

Services available to Lubumbashi operations

  • Torque tool calibration with traceable certificates
  • Hydraulic torque wrench, pump, cylinder and jack repair and load testing
  • Equipment supply, including Edmo lifting equipment
  • Scheduled servicing arranged around cross-border logistics
  • Operator training

Common questions

Can Trackcor serve operations in the DRC?

Yes. The Zambian Copperbelt is close to the Haut-Katanga and Lualaba mining districts, and Trackcor is the incoming exclusive distributor and service centre for Edmo jacks across both Zambia and the DRC.

How is cross-border movement handled?

In planned batches with the documentation arranged in advance, rather than tool by tool. That is what keeps a border crossing an administrative step instead of an open-ended delay.
