Every tool-control system in the world depends on one unglamorous thing: being able to tell which tool this is. Engraved stamps wear, paint pens survive a week, and a printed label on a hydraulic wrench lasts until the first wash bay.
Trackcor laser engraves in house. The mark is permanent, it is legible after the kind of use a mine site gives a tool, and it can carry whatever your register needs: an asset number, a cost centre, a site code, ownership, or a machine-readable code.
What gets marked
- Hand and power tools, with the mark placed where it will not be worn away in normal use
- Toolboxes and tool control boards
- Hydraulic equipment, cylinders and jacks
- Personalised marking, where ownership itself is the deterrent
Common questions
Does engraving damage or weaken the tool?
No. Marks are placed and set for the material and the component, away from stressed and sealing surfaces, which is the reason to do it with a laser rather than a stamp.
Can you mark tools you did not supply?
Yes. Marking an existing fleet is usually the first step in getting tool control working at all.
Can the mark carry a barcode or QR code?
Yes, where your register or our platform uses one, so a tool can be scanned in and out rather than written down.
