Air tooling supplied, serviced and repaired locally, for operations where compressed air is the working fluid.

Trackcor’s standing

Supplier, and service and repair centre

Pneumatic tooling is the workhorse of mine site maintenance and the least understood equipment in the store. It fails in ways that look like tool faults and are almost always supply faults.

Most air tool failures are air failures

Wet air corrodes the motor from the inside. Dirty air abrades the vanes. Undersized hose and long runs starve the tool of the flow it needs, so an operator leans on it harder and calls it underpowered. A tool that arrives at the workshop with worn vanes and a corroded motor has usually been telling you about the compressed air system for months.

We say so when we find it, because replacing the tool without fixing the air simply schedules the next failure.

What Trackcor does with Ingersoll Rand equipment

  • Supply across the air tooling and cordless ranges
  • Motor, vane and bearing overhaul, air path cleaning and governor setting
  • Calibration of controlled-torque pneumatic tooling
  • Advice on air supply, filtration and lubrication where the tool is not the problem
  • Servicing on intervals set for the dust conditions the tool actually works in

Ingersoll Rand lines we handle

  • Pneumatic impact wrenches
  • Air drills, grinders and percussive tools
  • Controlled-torque pneumatic assembly tools
  • Air motors and industrial air tooling
  • Cordless power tooling

Common questions

Why do our air tools keep failing early?

In most cases the compressed air is the cause: moisture, contamination, or insufficient flow because the hose is undersized or the run is too long. A workshop that only replaces the vanes is treating the symptom.

Can pneumatic torque tools be calibrated?

Yes, where the tool has a controlled torque output. It is calibrated at its working pressure, because the pressure it is set to is part of the measurement.
